Autobiography

Born to Play music, I was made in Tennessee. My mother is a musician and while I was growing up, there was a constant flow, of musical styles and genres, through my life. I never watched TV. We always listened or made music for our pastimes.
My individual music interests began with a percussion set that I learned to manipulate over a period of years that still continues. I grew up playing around on the piano, but it wasn’t until recently that the interest for my musical production called for a keyboardist. I also have been playing the guitar for about ten years now. I usually play the electric but I enjoy the rhythm of an acoustic guitar.  A few other strung instruments have come in and out of my life, but none of them really caught on.
I have lived in many parts of the US, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Argentina.  The cultures of music that I have experienced in other parts of the world will always be in my soul. From the different ways that instruments can be played to the sound that woods from a region will give off different tones in a guitar, I have made music my study.
Description: danielmagliolo:Desktop:A V Y:pix:IMG00038.jpgBesides music I have a little girl that is 4 years old right now and her name is Ashley Violet. The true light of my life was born while I was in Puerto Rico. I enjoy the experience of being a father. She provided me with a purpose for All of my life.
I am currently a junior at St. Leo University in Florida. I am studying Multimedia Management currently and I enjoy the diversity of the ideas that we as students produce. My pain focus will of course be on the audio portion of the major but I am also currently working on a few video projects. All of the technology that is available today makes all of the production of such media much more efficient, clear, and refined. I enjoy the challenge of learning new things.
To listen to some of the tracks that I have produced:

Here is an idea of how to get set up for production in Garageband.

This is a beginner tutorial that is about 20 minutes long. now don't let the length get you...Once you set down and open up garageband, you will be smiling at the ease of the program that the time will fly by. You will also gain the ability to modify audio on a basic level. Those who watch this and want me to show them some tricks, contact me after class.

Music MMM210 spr2013

I am starting this blog to give some basic advice for the use of a DAW in Logic Pro for audio production. I will be adding some still frames and videos along with links to audio along our journey. My intention was to present Logic but since Garageband is on our workstations why not go for that. I will see if one day I can prepare a presentation that I can do in class.
